Besides a master's in Finance, Ernest has not one but two bachelor’s degrees to his name: one in Economics and the other in History. He also spent a semester studying at the Guanghua School of Management in Beijing. Ernest began his career as a balance sheet manager in the treasury department of KAS BANK in Amsterdam. Soon after, he became an analyst and portfolio manager for the Juno Selection Fund. As if three academic degrees were not enough, Ernest completed the postgraduate Master of Investment Management programme at VU Amsterdam, on top of which he is a Registered Investment Analyst (RBA).
